The USDA announced a decision to extend free meals to children through December 31, 2020. This extends the funding for the traditional Summer Lunch program and will provide free lunch opportunities for all Governor Mifflin students beginning Tuesday, September 8.

Starting Tuesday, all Governor Mifflin students will be able to receive a breakfast and/or lunch in their building cafeteria without funds being charged to cafeteria accounts, regardless of the student’s free/reduced/paid lunch status. This does not apply to a la carte purchases. Students will still be able to use fund balances in lunch accounts to purchase a la carte items.

Governor Mifflin will continue the option for bulk meal pick up for families who have opted for online learning or for secondary students who are attending in the afternoon session of the hybrid schedule. Families choosing the bulk meal pickup will still need to sign up for this service, but will not be charged. If you would like to sign up to reserve a bulk meal box, please visit: https://www.governormifflinsd.org/departments/food-services/
