The Governor Mifflin School District’s indoor pool is used year-round for a variety of recreational and competitive programs. This 40-yard pool offers an adjustable bulkhead to accommodate our teams, lessons, and community programs. The pool is located in the Governor Mifflin Intermediate School and has two one-meter diving boards and ranges in depth from three to 13 feet.
THE GMIS PROGRAM
When attending the Intermediate School, students will receive instruction in swimming during 5th and 6th grade. These students will progress at their own pace through the six levels of the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim curriculum. In addition, instruction will be given in boating, snorkeling, water polo, and other swim activities.
