Beginner Swim Lessons - Levels 1, 2 & 3 Fee: Resident $35/session, Non-resident $50/session *The American Red Cross Learn to Swim Curriculum is used for these classes. All classes are instructed by a certified Water Safety Instructor. The beginner swimmer (level 1 and 2) must be 48 inches tall. The minimum age is 6 years.

Level 1 - Introduction to Water Skills
The objectives are to learn basic personal water safety skills and information, help participants feel comfortable in the water, and enjoy water safety. At this level, participants begin developing good attitudes about swimming and water safety, good swimming habits, and safe practices in and around the water.

Level 2 - Fundamental Aquatic Skills
Participants entering this course must have a Level 1 certificate or be able to demonstrate all completion requirements of Level 1. This level marks the beginning of true locomotion skills - explore simultaneous and alternative arm and leg actions on the front and back to lay the foundation for future strokes.

Level 3 - Stroke Development
Participants entering this course must have a Level 2 certificate or be able to demonstrate all completion requirements of Level 2. The objectives of Level 3 are to learn the survival float, the elementary backstroke and to coordinate the front crawl. Participants also learn the scissor kick and dolphin kick.
Advanced Swim Lessons - Levels 4, 5 & 6 Fee: Resident $35/session, Non-resident $50/session *These classes are a continuation in the American Red Cross Learn to Swim curriculum. All classes are instructed by a certified water safety instructor. Students will learn advanced skills and strokes such as the sidestroke, breaststroke and butterfly.

Level 6 - Fundamentals of Diving

Parents & Tots Fee: Resident $30/session, Non-resident $50/session *These classes require the parents to go in the water with the child. Children under 48 inches are eligible. The minimum age is 6 months. Swim diapers must be worn by children that are not potty trained.
Adult Learn-to-Swim Classes Fee: Resident $50/session, Non-resident $60/session *These classes are for adults interested in learning how to swim. All classes are instructed by a certified water safety instructor.
