Every year Governor Mifflin athletes are league, Division III, district and state champions in various sports.
Individual and team sports participation is encouraged at Governor Mifflin. Led by a group of dedicated and enthusiastic coaches, students may participate in 24 junior varsity and varsity sports, as well as a number of intramural programs. Certified athletic trainers care for our athletes throughout the year, and a weight room, located in the Senior High School, keeps our students and residents in top condition.
The District has over 12 practice and playing fields shared by various teams and a 3500 seat stadium with an all-weather track funded by community donations.
Located in our Intermediate School is a 25-meter racing swimming pool and diving area. This pool is used by our swimming, diving and water polo teams, and is open throughout the year for community programs. In addition, all students in fourth through sixth grade receive swimming instruction weekly.
