Every year Governor Mifflin athletes are league, Division III, district and state champions in various sports.

Participation in individual and team sports is encouraged at Governor Mifflin. Led by a group of dedicated and enthusiastic coaches, students may participate in 26 varsity sports, as well as a number of intramural programs. Certified athletic trainers care for our athletes throughout the year, and a weight room keeps our students and residents in top condition.

The district has a 3,500-seat stadium with an all-weather track and over 12 practice and playing fields shared by various teams. The district installed two synthetic turf playing fields used for football, soccer and field hockey. The playing surfaces surrounding the high school and middle school were all improved and updated during the 2006-2007 school year.

Located in our intermediate school is a 25-meter racing swimming pool and diving area. This pool is used by our swimming, diving and water polo teams and is open throughout the year for community programs. In addition, all students in fifth and sixth grade receive swimming instruction weekly.
