Food Resource List -Mandatory Shutdown COVID-19

  • Sheetz Convenience Stores – free Kidz Meal Bag
    Beginning April 2, families in need may ask for a Kidz Meal Bag at participating Sheetz locations: https://www.sheetz.com/news/kidzmeals


  • Hamburg Area School District – offering Breakfast items and a 5-day lunch supply to families
    • Tuesday, March 17th from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm and Tuesday March 24th from 11:30 am -12:30 pm at the following locations:
      • Stausstown Park Pavilion
      • Shartlesville Community Park
      • Tiden Elementary Center- Bus Loading Area
      • Hamburg Area High School-Rear Park Lot
      • Perry Elem Center- Pavilion
  • Andali’s in Leesport -Free Kids Pizza – Starting March 16th 1 slice of pizza and fountain drink to any school aged student in need for two weeks.
    • Mon-Fri 11:00 am to 2:00 pm take out only as dining area has closed
  • Governor Mifflin School District- Grab and Go Lunches available
    • Cumru Elementary, Mon – Fri 11:30 am- 12:30 pm, for all children ages 18 and under
    • Begins Tuesday March 17th continuing during the shutdown
  • The Village of Reading – Free Lunch Pick up on March 19th 10-12 pm
    • 18 years and younger – City Park Reading, Pa

  • Gourmand Café – 1 free kids meal with the adults purchase of 1 food item from 11am – 1pm
    • All kids meals are packaged in takeout containers and available for school students accompanied by an adult.
  • Antietam School DistrictGrab and Go Breakfast and Lunches available
    • Starting Tuesday March 16th through Thursday March 19th children under the age 18 can get breakfast and lunch at two sites from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm:
      • Mount Penn Elementary Center
      • Antietam Middle/Senior High School
      • Weekend boxes will be given out on Thursday that contain extra food.
      • Children do not need to live in the district to get meals
  • Reading School District- Free Grab and Go Breakfast and Lunch starting March 18th to March 20th and March 23rd to March 27th from 10 am to 12 pm
    • 10th and Green Elementary
    • 16th and Haak Elementary
    • Glenside Elementary
    • Lauer’s Park Elementary
    • Millmont Elementary

  • Reading School District- Free Grab and Go Dinner and Snacks starting March 18th to March 20th and March 23rd to March 27th– 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm

  • Family food pantry boxes (one box per family) are also available during the following times and locations:

  • Wilson School District – Free bagged Lunches and Breakfasts starting Monday March 16th
    • Bags can be picked up from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm Mon-Fri at:

      • Sinking Spring Library – Back Parking Lot
      • Whitfield Elementary School – Student drop off area

      • Cornwall Terrace Elementary/Sothern Middle School Complex – Red Canopy

  • Wyomissing Grab and Go Lunches are available
    • Starting Tuesday March 17th 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. Students must be present to receive the meals. The meals can be picked up at:
      • Junior/Senior High School – main entrance
      • West Reading Elementary Center – main entrance
      • Wyomissing Hills Elementary Center – main entrance
    • Conrad Weiser Food Distribution
      • Starting March 18 – Free breakfast and lunch for all CWASD children in the form of Grab and Go meals.
      • Location: Conrad Weiser West Elementary, Womelsdorf
      • 10:00am – 2:00pm
    • Exeter Township School District
      • Starting Monday, March 16 – Free breakfast and lunch to Exeter students in the form of Grab and Go meals.
      • 10:00am-11:00am
      • Locations:
        • Exeter Senior High School (by the cafeteria)
        • Junior High and Reiffton students can pick up at the Reiffton Elementary loading dock area.
        • Owatin Creek Elementary and Jacksonwald Elementary will pick up meals at Owatin (by the cafeteria).
        • Lorane Elementary (pick up at Lorane)
        • Satellite location – Antietam Pool (905 Byram Street, Reading – pick up in parking lot) 10:30am – 11:30am
      • Muhlenberg
        • Beginning March 18, Free breakfast and lunch for all children under 18 in the form of Grab and Go.
        • 10:00am-12:00pm
