The Governor Mifflin School District serves the boroughs of Kenhorst, Mohnton and Shillington, and the townships of Brecknock and Cumru. These five municipalities encompass over 40 square miles of southeastern Pennsylvania’s Berks County.
Major roads, such as the Pennsylvania Turnpike (exits 286 and 298) and Routes 176, 222 and 422, place the School District in an ideal cultural and recreational position, with Philadelphia, the Poconos, New York City, the Jersey shore, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., all within a three-hour drive. All Governor Mifflin facilities and buildings are used by a variety of extracurricular community organizations, such as the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, church groups, local athletic clubs and associations, senior citizen events and more.
