Important Information Regarding MS/HS Scheduling for the 2017-18 School Year
Dear Parents and Students,
GMHS encourages you (together with your child) to review in PowerSchool your student’s requested classes for the 2017-2018 school year, as soon as possible. In order for schedule changes to be considered, it is necessary for your child to meet with his / her school counselor PRIOR to May 1st.
Schedule changes for the 2017-2018 school year will not be able to be made after May 1st . There will not be any schedule changes during the summer or at the beginning of the school year. The high school drop policy will be enforced. For your reference, on page 4 in the Program of Studies Handbook (http://www.governormifflinsd.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Program-of-Studies-17-18-WEB4.pdf) under, “Course Changes”, it states, “Students with six majors and at least seven credits may request permission to drop a major class without penalty at the end of the first quarter.”
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
