Art Instruction

• All GMIS students receive 45 minutes of art instruction every week.
• All art projects follow the Governor Mifflin Art Curriculum and adhere to the Pennsylvania State Standards for Arts and Humanities.
• Instruction is discipline based and includes art history, production, criticism, and aesthetics.

Art Assessment

• Your child's artwork is assessed according to a rubric designed for each project.
• Art grades are recorded on the child's report card for both the second and fourth quarters. Your child can receive:

O = Outstanding
S = Satisfactory
N = Needs Improvement
