Life Science (Grade 7) Students in Grade 7 are taught a life science curriculum where they demonstrate knowledge of the basic concepts and principles of life science. Life science introduces students to the fundamentals of the five-kingdom classification system. Our program examines each of these kingdoms both in structure and in their ecological interaction. Whenever possible, proper laboratory procedures and the correct use of the scientific method are utilized to explore the many different forms of life. In addition, our role as human beings in the balance of nature and the future of our environment is also discussed.
Physical Science (Grade 8) In Grade 8, the physical science curriculum presents a logical and comprehensive study of matter and energy. This study focuses on the basic principles of physics and chemistry. Students enjoy a hands-on inquiry based approach to science which develops problem solving skills that should remain valuable beyond the classroom setting.
