Power School

Grade 7 students receive hands-on experiences in Technology education using materials such as wood, plastics, and leather.  The students also receive instruction on the safe and efficient use of various hand and power tools, as well as fastening devices and finishing materials.  The processes come to an end in projects that the students keep for his or her own use.  Also included is information related to the construction, communication, and, manufacturing areas.  Problem solving skills are used throughout the course.

In Grade 8, the students learn more advanced skills, with the emphasis now on metals.  They learn more detailed information about the tools, the materials, and the processes which people use to produce things safely. Like grade 7, the processes come to an end in projects that the students keep.
