Electronic Device Policy Updated

Recently, the Govenor Mifflin Board of School Directors took action to update the Electronic Device Policy #237. The revised policy clarifies that the district prohibits the use of electronic devices by students during the school day and on school grounds. The revised policy also extends this prohibition to school buses and vehicles.

On March 3, 2010 GMSD sent a letter explaining the purpose and details of the revised Electronic Device Policy to parents of middle and high school students. The letter also outlined the disciplinary action that the district would take should policy violations occur.

H1N1 Information

Last fall, Governor Mifflin School District was approved as an H1N1 vaccination site. On January 23, 2010 and February 22, 2010, the district offered the vaccine to current Governor Mifflin and La Salle Academy students in Grades K-12 whose parents had submitted immunization consent forms. Over 900 students attended the clinic to receive either a live, nasal spray or inactive, injectable vaccine, at no cost.
