For promotion from Grade 9 to Grade 10, a student must have earned at least 5 credits in Grade 9.

From Grade 10 to Grade 11, a student must have earned a combined total of at least 10 credits in ninth and tenth grades

For promotion from Grade 11 to Grade 12, a student must have earned a combined total of at least 17 credits in Grades 9, 10 and 11.

Special Considerations:

A student must pass at least 2 traditional academic majors each year for promotion.

Regardless of the number of promotion credits, students must pass all required subjects to graduate.

A graduation project must be successfully completed

Seniors scoring below proficient on the PSSA test must pass a math course in their senior year.

* Math and Science courses must be taken during the freshman, sophomore and junior years. In their senior year, students must enroll in either a math or science course which will count as an elective credit.
Graduation Project
All students who graduate from Governor Mifflin will be required to complete a graduation project during their high school career.The requirements for the student project have been developed by a committee consisting of faculty, parents, and students.
The purpose of the required project is to give students an opportunity to demonstrate their ability to apply various skills and demonstrate what they have learned Students will choose their topic of interest and will work with an assigned faculty member.The faculty member will assist the student and guide the development of the project.
