Passive Fundraisers

GMHS is enrolled in the Giant A+ Rewards program. Every time you shop at a participating GIANT between October 2012 and March 2013 using your BONUSCARD, you will earn points for GMHS. These points add up and become cash for the high school PAC/PTO.

To help GMHS earn rewards, designate our school using your BONUSCARD number and our school's five-digit ID code, #04238. Register at www.GIANTfoodstores.com/aplus starting September 24, 2012.

Invitation to Parents

As the parent of a high school student, you probably spend countless hours shuttling your child to various activities, attending numerous games and/or performances, and seeking out opportunities to help your child further his/her talents. You are no doubt aware that your participation in school-related activities is essential to your child's growth and development.

But, how much of your involvement is dedicated to educating yourself about school issues?

We challenge you to make a deeper contribution to your child's educational experience by taking part in the GMHS Parent Advisory Council. Our PAC is dedicated to providing parents with important information about secondary-level curriculum, college preparation and major reforms affecting this school district.

GMHS PAC meetings often involve guest speakers who give presentations about these important issues. All PAC meetings are held in Room 141A of the high school and are open to anyone; you do not need to be a member of the PAC to attend.

Like its elementary counterparts, the GMHS PAC also coordinates much-needed parent volunteers for various school activities. Parents are always needed to:

  • coordinate staff appreciation activities
  • assist with student events such as Career Day and Baccalaureate
  • organize fund raising projects for the acquisition of materials and tools that enhance the learning experience

Won't you please join us at our next meeting? Your participation does make a difference in your child's education.
