Band Schedule

 

5th Grade Band will meet at 2:43PM in the bandroom on days 4 and 6.  (Yes, we will meet on Thursday, Sept 2nd)

6th Grade Band will meet at 2:42PM in the bandroom on days 1 and 5.  (Friday, Sept 3rd we will be working on Power Rock.)

All School Assembly

The 6th Grade Band will be playing Power Rock for the all school assmebly on Wednesday, Sept 8th.  We will be giving a short demostration on GMIS band and orchestra for our fellow students.  I hope to recruit about 12-15 new 6th graders and about 20 new 5th graders into our band.  This is something a little new, but I think it will be fun!

Instrumental Lesson Groups

We will be starting lesson groups in cycle 2 (after Sept 8th).  I will give you your lesson schedule by then.

Every once in a while I receive either a call or email asking "What can my child do to succeed in band?".  Or at least something to that effect.  I gave some serious thought THIS is what I came up with.   Let me know what you think.
