Lisa Smith has taught music at Cumru Elementary School for approximately 23 years. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with certifications in the areas of music and social studies. She also holds a Master's Degree in Political Science from Villanova University, and her Principal's Certification from Immaculata University.
In addition to teaching K-6 music, Mrs. Smith is jointly responsible for the Cumru Courtyard, Earth Day, Preservation Through Creation, and the Cumru Pumpkin Contest. She is also the editor of the Cumru Kidbits neweletter. We are thrilled to have so many parent volunteers who help in these endeavors. Please feel free to call if you would like to be involved here at Cumru.
Finally, but not least, Mrs. Smith is a mother of four children ages 20, 17, 13, and 10. She lives in Brecknock Township with her husband Mike and enjoys camping, reading, traveling, and playing the piano.
