Dear Parent or Guardian:
On Tuesday, May 24, the fourth grade classes of Mifflin Park Elementary School will be presenting the musical play, THE MAGIC JUKEBOX. This experience will highlight some of our school goals in music classes, and language arts. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to participate in a large production involving costumes, scenery, songs, instruments and a live audience. The performance will take place at 7:00 on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in the Mifflin Park Gym. Everyone is welcome to attend; there are no tickets for this event.
Every fourth grade student has a part in the production. Some children will act on stage. Students that do not have speaking parts will sing in the chorus, others will play instruments, and some students will participate in our production as members of the stage crew. Students should dress nicely for the show. I recommend boys wear long pants and a collared shirt. Girls may wear dresses, slacks/skirt and blouse. Please, NO t-shirts, spaghetti strap tops, sports jerseys or torn pants.
All students and guests are welcome to join us for Popsicles after the Performance. Following our performance, the Mifflin Park PTO will be hosting a reception and provide refreshments in the school cafeteria.
It is the expectation that all fourth grade students attend and participate in the evening performance. Please complete the bottom portion of this sheet, and return it to your childs classroom teacher by Tuesday, May 17, to indicate your childs participation in our annual school program.
Thank you for your support
