Prevent Bullying

Students:

• If you feel you are beng bullied, tell someone you trust
• Do not post photos of yourself on the internet and do not transmit photos via cell phone
• Change your cell phone number and email address, if necessary
• Do not retaliate against bullying with more bullying
• Step in when you see someone being victimized by bullying

Parents:

• Look for warning signs (withdrawal, depression)
• Monitor and limit your child's internet usage
• Install filters on your computer and block certain IP addresses
• Discourage your child from entering chat rooms
• Talk to your child about cyberbullying
