Hello Governor Mifflin School District families,

The Governor Mifflin School District Technology Department is offering Help Desk support for our teachers, students, and parents.

Hardware issues, like a cracked screen or broken device, can be exchanged for a working device Monday – Friday 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Governor Mifflin Intermediate School. Families should access the Intermediate School through the back of the building using the entrance at Elkins and Governor Drive. Device exchanges will take place at the pull-in/pick-up circle on the side of the building.  Please stay in your vehicle until a technician comes out to your car to offer assistance.

To help maintain social distancing practices, this will not be a point of service (you will only be able to exchange or pick up a device).  Appointments are available in 10-minute time slots and are required to manage the traffic flow. You may schedule an appointment by using the link below:

Software issues, problems logging on, or problems accessing Google classroom will be handled remotely via email, telephone, School Dude (for internal/staff requests only), or Google Meet.  Our ticket system is monitored daily as well as the Help Desk email and telephone number.  Both can be used at your convenience.  The Help Desk email is helpdesk@gmsd.org.  The Help Desk phone number is 610-775-1461 ext. 1279.  Please leave a call back number, the name of the student the device belongs to, and a brief description of your concern if you leave a message. We are asking all teachers to continue to use the School Dude ticketing system to request non-emergency tech support.helpdesk@gmsd.org

Students that did not pick up a Chromebook device on Friday, March 27,, can utilize the device exchange station at the Intermediate School.  Only one device per K-6 student will be issued.  If you are in need of a device to participate in distance learning, please schedule an appointment to pick one up using the link provided for appointments.

Parents, we suggest you use the helpdesk@gmsd.org email to request tech support, but you may also call the Help Desk number 610-775-1461 ext. 1279.  The messages are monitored daily.
