Dear Governor Mifflin School District Community,
As we as a district work to provide resources and support to our community in light of the tragic event which occurred this week, we recognize that involving our parents and community members in the conversation is key to establishing a stronger support system for our students.  In an effort to establish a solid system, we would again like to extend the invitation to all adult members of our Governor Mifflin School District community to participate in our Governor Mifflin Community Partnership. This group, made up of teachers, administrators, parents, and community members has been meeting monthly since September 2021 with a focus on honoring the dignity of all students and creating a sense of belonging in all buildings, while also discussing larger societal issues around equity and inclusion.

A special session of the Governor Mifflin Community Partnership will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 6:30-8:00 PM at the Governor Mifflin Intermediate School Cafeteria.

In this session, we will focus on how we, as a Governor Mifflin community, can come together and create tangible methods to support our students within the neighborhoods and the larger community that will strengthen the current and future efforts of the school district.  Please come with ideas, an open mind, and a desire to work towards a stronger, safer, better Mustang Nation.

In an effort to plan and prepare, all stakeholders who plan to attend this meeting must complete THIS GOOGLE FORM by noon on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

In addition, our building principals will continue to work with our teachers, staff, and students as well as to gather their thoughts and ideas on the resources they feel would provide a stronger community support system for them.

Mustangs thrive when all members of the herd stick together and the very same is true for our Mustang Nation. The best version of our community is achieved when we all work together for the good of all of our students. We thank you for your support, consideration, and cooperation as we navigate this difficult time.

Thank you,
Governor Mifflin School District
