Throughout the year, the Governor Mifflin School District provides a number of free events to help our district’s youngest learners Leap into Literacy! The schedules are listed below.  Please check the district calendar and the “Upcoming Events” section on the right side of this page for the latest information.

This program is designed for preschool-aged children. Children and adults participate in games, arts and crafts, and listen to stories that are designed to help children get a jump start on reading and writing. There is no fee to attend and no RSVP is needed. Some events provide take-home materials, including books. All Leap into Literacy events take place from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Events for the 2020-2021 school year are ‘on pause’ due to COVID-19. Please check back for further updates.

The Governor Mifflin School District is proud to partner with the Mifflin Community Library to help foster a life-long love of reading. These events are free and hosted by the Mifflin Community Library, 6 Philadelphia Avenue, Shillington. Contact the library for additional information: 610-777-3911.
