Programs and Publications

The Governor Mifflin Department of Communications & Community Relations works closely with our district partners to produce souvenir programs for events, tickets, flyers, posters, and other promotional items. Production is limited to district or school-sponsored events. If you are collaborating with us for a program or publication, please consult the Print and Production schedule.


The Mustang Messenger is a quarterly community-focused newsletter with information pertinent to all members of the Governor Mifflin constituency. Beginning January 2016, the Mustang Messenger will be distributed digitally through this website and email. Paper subscriptions and email subscriptions may be requested by emailing Mustang.Messenger@gmsd.org.

The Mustang Express is an online newsletter published monthly during the school year. Information is primarily targeted to readers with students currently registered in the district, but community events and news are also featured. Families who have their email addresses in ConnectED will be notified when new editions of the Mustang Express are published. Others may subscribe by clicking here.

District Notifications via ConnectED

The Governor Mifflin School District uses Blackboard Connect (ConnectED), a district-wide phone and email messaging system. District Administrators will utilize ConnectED to send messages by phone and/or email regarding school closures and delays, emergency situations, attendance and other important or informative communications.

Contact information for ConnectED is entered during the online Back-to-School update prior to the beginning of the school year or during the new student registration process. If you need to make additional changes to your contact information, please call your child(ren)’s school building(s).

The Governor Mifflin School District maintains an official district presence on Facebook and Twitter.


The Governor Mifflin School District’s preferred method of flyer distribution is electronically through the online service, Peachjar. Outside organizations are urged to register with Peachjar. School-sanctioned organizations (boosters, PTOs, and teams) may submit flyers for distribution through Peachjar by submitting flyers as a PDF to the Director of Communications & Community Relations. Please refer to the flyer page and flyer approval guidelines for additional information before submitting a flyer for distribution.

We strive to maintain good working relationships with the media. All recent press releases are available here. We also recommend visiting our School Board pages for additional public information.


The Governor Mifflin Print Shop is located in the Intermediate School and provides printing, binding, and laminating services for district related projects. District employees should make printing requests following the guidelines on the Print Shop webpage. Outside printing requests should be directed to the Director of Communications & Community Relations.
