Dear Governor Mifflin School District Community,

In light of the tragic loss of one of our students, two local congregations wish to open their doors and provide our community support as we cope in this difficult time. Please see opportunities below:

Mosaic Church (located at S. Wyomissing Ave., Shillington, PA, 19607) will be open tonight, Wednesday, March 16 from 6-7 pm for prayer, worship, and conversation with congregation leaders. A youth leader will also be available on-site.

Immanuel United Church of Christ (located at 99 S. Waverly St., Shillington, PA 19607) will open their doors today, Wednesday, March 16 from 2:30-3:30 pm for quiet reflection, candle lighting and conversation. They will also be open on Thursday, March 17 from 7-8 pm for quiet reflection, candle lighting, and prayer. Area clergy will be on site for both times.

We would like to stress that all are welcome to attend, regardless of religious affiliation. We would also like to issue a reminder that grief counseling is available in each of our schools for any students in need. We sincerely thank Mosaic Church and Immanuel United Church of Christ for offering these opportunities to our district, and our Governor Mifflin community as a whole for coming together to support one another during this time.

Thank you, Governor Mifflin School District
